This is from their website. It comes in various size sheets and is relatively inexpensive.
Phenolic sheet is a hard, dense material made by applying heat and pressure to layers of paper or glass cloth impregnated with synthetic resin. These layers of laminations are usually of cellulose paper, cotton fabrics, synthetic yarn fabrics, glass fabrics or unwoven fabrics. When heat and pressure are applied to the layers, a chemical reaction (polymerization) transforms the layers into a high-pressure thermosetting industrial laminated plastic.

and i dunno about that wood spacer i made one out of lexan once and after a year or so it was kinda soft when i took it off. if i was you, i'd cut your other manifold up quick.....

Thanks Herb...don't need to worry about it til it's actually moving under it's own power....not just "me"power pushing it in and out of the garage!

I'm thinking that the stock strap and a few screws in the front would hold it pretty stiffly....if not, I'll add a brace underneath, for sure.

I'm reading the thread and laughing!

Nice to know that until I get it driving and bouncing, that I don't have much to worry about.

Need to search on tuning the carb....anyone got a link handy?

My oil temp and pressure gauges aren't working...

Unfortunately, not really.

House remodel and family obligations have taken priority of my time and $ over the baja.

My father passed in October

and I'm now dealing with a irresponsible, deadbeat ex-wife and re-hired my lawyer in KY to have custody reviewed. Not to mention we are also in the middle of a small claims situation where we are suing our previous homeowner for an undisclosed repair. It's been a couple of busy months.

On a brighter note, I did finally figure out how to get the front windshield in by myself.

I sat passenger yesterday and went out Jeepin' in Plaster City and Superstition with a few friends. Sure was nice to get out and run around. Makes me insanely curious if my baja could/would make it through some of the stuff they were doing.

This weekend, I wired the switch for the bright lights and cleaned up some unfinished wiring.

Once I figure out the brake switch wiring I'll be ready to put the hood back on.

Looks like we lost a couple days....

So I dropped my baja off at the shop last week to have the rear of the cage finished and the 2 baby beards mounted.

They tell me it's done, but I need to decide what type of harness to run.

I see 2 good options. Tiger and Crow.

Jesse suggested 2x2", bolt-in, Y harness. He didn't recommend Mastercraft as they aren't too comfortable for children.

Any opinions/recommendations on this???

I think those options are good. A 3" harness will be too uncomfortable for a kid.
