Another Type 4 Turbo Project...

Hi all,
Here's my on-going Type 4 Turbo Project... bit of a Jonas Linder style thread.

I got the case halves together this week which was bit of a milestone for me as this is my first engine build. Specs:
2056cc
CU case
42 x 38 square port heads
-> (now 42 x 40 LE 220 heads)
Stock rods with ARP bolts
Webcam #119
Ceramic lifters
30mm Shadek pump
JE Pistons
Garrett T3
Megasquirt
-> (now Megasquirt 'n' Spark)

Nice Setup!
How much did you torque the arp bolts ?
I have a similar setup but hasnt found out a correct tourqe
for arp pro 2000 bolts on std t4 rods !

Hi vw_nobbe,
When I bought my ARP studs I got a piece of paper with the torque settings. You should be able to grab the torque settings from the ARP website though. I'll dig out my paperwork and see if mine were the same model as yours.

Hi vw_nobbe,
The ARP site seems to be down at the moment! From memory there are at least 4 different types of ARP bolts for the Type 4. Most of them are set to 40lbs/ft but there was one that IIRC was a bit lower than that setting (thity-something lbs/ft). Here's the paperwork that I got with my bolts, however I don't think they are the same model as yours so it would be worth checking with your suppiler.
