Need a t-2 or t-25 turbo
Hey, guys. I'm gonna start a turbo project pretty soon. It will be a 1600 running 8-12 pounds of boost into a single 44 idf. I was told i could use a T2 or a T25 turbo for my application. I'm looking to get full boost at 3500 rpm. My redline will be 5000 if i cant get a cw crank and 6500 if i can. Do you know of a car that came with one of these turbos stock? Cause a junkyard turbo would keep costs down and plus i'm not looking for total reliability. If i cant find a salvaged turbo i will pay $285-500 for a new turbo depending on whether it has an internal wastegate or not. This combo will put out amproximately 120-150 hp making my 1450 pound 65 run sub 14's.

Good news, i was able to pick up a couple of good, used T3 turbos for free. And i can get an air-air intercooler for 100 bucks. Thinking of mounting it on a modified decklid so it will look like a spoiler, perfectly in the airstream. Well this project is gonna start sooner than expected so if any of you to know more just ask. Thanx

i got a junkyard T03 from a Daytona and am running a 40 DCNF on a 1679 and all is well..boost comes in quick with the 1 3/8" header tubes. I 've been reving it to 5500..as of now I'm running only 4 pounds of boost with the clutch slipping and it still halls ass....

I'll back that up! Volksnut's buggy hauls MUCH ass!! Especially when you consider there is less money in the ENTIRE motor than most guys pay for a pair of worn out IDAs!!! It's hard to beat positive manifod pressure!
