I don?t think I can give you the answer you are looking for but one question I can ask is how hard are you planning on pushing it.
Jim?s car that I played with fairly extensively, had no carb mods that I could see. (40 dcoe) but it was not being pushed to the limit either. 15 lbs through a nothing motor.
But you could try some fairly common sense things like, install a larger needle and seat, look at the passage going to the needle and seat and maybe hog it out. I have heard thing like having to drill a small hole into the butterfly to help keep the idle lean enough but we did not run into that problem.
I stared at the dcoe and wondered if with a restrictive air filter on top, would the barrels actually rob the jets of air and actually richen up the system as it went under a hard load. (the air feed for the jets are in side the air cleaner area.)
I don?t remember what the bowls actually look like but is there any empty or unused voids around the bowl that you can turn into part of the bowl capacity. (there is a spot opposite the accelerator pump that you can do this on for the ida carbs)
Just have a favorite beverage or special Herb and stare at it for a while and see what comes to mind.

i read in a book that for draw through systems the carb mods are minimal...mainly richen the mixture via jetting.
