It is ok to use the turbocharger of the golf 1900 TDI 110hp on VW engine?
It should give a good bottom end due to the variable vane technology. Would be better than usual garret T2-T3?
what VW aircooled engine woud be ideal with this turbo? A 1600-1776?

Diesel engines have exhaust gas temperatures some 200°C lower then gasoline engines, and the Turbo is designed and materials selected for these lower temperatures. Used on a gasoline engine it will work to start with, but the bearings will cook and the turbine & housing will start cracking after a while due to the massive extra thermal loading on them that they weren't designed for.

Get a turbo meant for a gasoline engine.
