Got carbs in (36 idfs), they take ages to settle the revs after opening them up a bit?

Any ideas?

Add throttle return springs.

Attach one end of a coil spring to the throttle linkage, and the other end to something that doesn't move, with a little tension on it. Hopefully pulling the throttle closed, not open.
