RX-7 twin turbos on a bug?

Post by calereeves »

I have posted the thread below, and then I looked on ebay and found a RX7 twin turbo assembly. The exhaust inlet and outlet are in the center, between two compressors. Could this work on a t1 with a 911 fanshroud and say dual 45 or 48 webs.?

Well the problem is that firstly, the manifold wont fit, not only will there be other parts in the way, but it cannot hook up to the engine. But if you were to have the manifolds fabricated, the rx7 twin turbos should work great. the engine in those was only 1.3 liters, so you should have no spooling problems, though is was rotary, so im not really sure what effect that has on turbos. But it is definately worth a try.
