I was wondering if the cb kit can be used with weber idf's ,I allready have em and dont want efi,cfi,etc pluse it saves a lot of money.I would like to no the good and the bad regarding this kit,I see alot of you suggest turbos from e-bay and home made exhaust for saving money.This sounds great to me and I have learned a lot just reading youre posts.Are there any books that I should get to answer and inform me further.thanks for your help.

Check with the folks from Competition Engineering http://www.ce-vw.com/ . They have a lot of experience with blow-thru carb turbo setups and may be able to modify the 40idfs. The problem with the 40's is they are built for a pressurized application and the throttle shafts will leak under boost.

Thanks for the info guys.I am not going with the webers,expensive to convert,I still want a blow thrue system but will have to think about the price.pull through system sounds a lot easier,I will keep a close eye on the posts and get as much info as poss.thanks.

Webger carbs turbo converted: CB Performance has as of last year hade a conversion kit for the Weber. Also jayCee interprises "O" ringed my Dellorto shaft and can do the same to your Weber.
