What did you get the header off of? Looks like that would work better than any I have seem so far. I saw one on Esslinger racing that faced rear over the valve cover. Rear faceing down near the engine looks better though.

WAY cool 8) How does it go and handle? Are you pulling a lot of wheelies?

I'm deep into a tube frame for my manx clone that is getting a Volvo 2.5 up the back, I'm curious about how light your front end feels with and iron block out back.

Love the hood set up. How did you work the scuttle area (bit at bottom of the windscreen).

[I took Header off the driver side of a mustang and bought the exhaust flange from Eslinger then welded it, after truning it around. .

I was told that I couldent put it on this moter because it has the 8 spark plugs. And that this motor has different compression than needed for a turbo . If they were wrong please let me know.

As far as keeping it on the ground , I have not lifted it yet. Came close .It
handles very well, it has 33 s on the rear and 31 s on the front. I put a heavy duty clutch in it but a standard tranny. It will run around 75-85 with no problem and a lot of peddle left. Have not figured out what wire to hook the tac to. It runs dule coil pacs. I need to move the air filter and design a water proof cover for it so I can go off roading.

Hood hinge/ Scuttle

The hood was eaiser than I thought . I Bought two hinges at the hardware store came home unbolted the hood and cut it. Trail mounted the hinge , to hood and roll cage ( ended up having to weld a 1 1/2 extension to move the roll cage to fit . Drill the first holes in the hood, then bolted it all togather. It fits perfict. But I did have to move the head lights. They can be mounted to the hood iinstead of the finders or the rollcage.

Dont forget to run the water lins in the car not under it if you plan on off roading. I am having to go back and move them inside so they dont get ruptured in a mud hole.

So how hard was the wiring on your car? How long did you end up spending on it?

i have heard of people converting the turbo motors to dual plug but not the dual plug to turbo. I know the pistons would have to be swapped out to forged unless you didn't want that much boost. then what is the point??

The blocks and such are basically the same. if you had a turbo set up you could swap to a turbo/head/computer/injector set up to do it easily. i would Look things up on the turboford.org as to the swap and then try to reverse engineer it.

Running a turbo myself(4 plug) i can definatly say it makes a huge difference over a n/a motor.

also check out this site to swap a turbo to dual plug as it has a wealth of info on it. although it is a yahoo group. ford23t-dp

I'm trying to find the flange on Esslingers site. Can you provide a little more understanding ? The 5.0 Drivers side exh. bolts up to the 2.3l head or is there an adapter from Esslinger that allows you to attach to the 2.3l ?
