I'm in the process of stripping my 69 bug for repaint, and am having
second thoughts about changing from the stock color. The exterior paint is
toast, but the trunk, door jams and interior are still pretty nice. My biggest
worry is in areas where it is hard or impossible to get, will the primer and
paint stick ok or will it peel after a while ?
This is my first paint job, and I'll be using a single stage system to keep
it simple. The area under the engine vents below the back window is another
place that looks impossible to get at for sanding. How do you scuff
that for paint ? If you don't, will the paint stick ?
This is a "garage" job for my daily driver, not a show car, but i want it to look
good and last as long as possible. I'd really appreciate any advice from those
that have worked through this.
