Is there an undercoating for like the fenderwells that can be color matched to the body color? I want something more durable the paint under the fenders and fenderwells on my bug but I don't like the idea of using the standard black. Anybody have any ideas on what I can use?
Thanks,
J.W.

There is a product out there like that, I saw it used on the show "American Hotrod". They undercoated the bottom of a 56 chevy then they painted it the color of the car. The coating was black and they painted it red, looked really good. Not sure what its called or who makes it, but it is out there.

color matched undercoating
I believe the 3M Body Shutz undercoating that I mentioned in a previous post can be painted with your body color. (no I don't work for 3M
Just allow it to dry thouroughly & shoot it with single-stage gloss - I wouldn't build it up with base-coat clear-coat, as that will make it chip eaisly.
Personally I like the look of black under the fenderwells, looks clean & dosen't detract from the glossy body.
