I've got a buddy who is big into toyotas, I've helped with several 4age and one 4agze swap, I really like the toyota engine, the fact that its DOHC but still non-interfearance is a big plus, volkswagen could take a lesson from that design
eventually I'm going to be building a Locost 7, which will definatly be based on the 4AGE engine.

so a 4age fits into the engine compartment? i was planning to install a 4age 20v. anybody has comments on this? or would i be better off with a full race 2tg stroked to 2L? what do u guys think?
shadowbug, what sort of problems did ur friend encounter? maybe u can enlighten me with some stuff...
lastly, i might have problems with the adapter kit being mailed to me? how difficult is it to make one? can any machine shop do this? wha sort of things do i need to look into if i have it fabricated locally?
thanks guys....

the 4age's that we swapped went into toyotas, so I'm familiar with the engine, but not how it'd fit into a vw.

kennedy performance makes an adapter to put many different engines in a volkswagen..the only hard thing i would see about doing the swap is doing the fuel injection
