Thought about this for years but have never done it. What do you think have you done it. Tips or tricks ? Turning your garage into a spray booth ? If you did paint at home how did it come out ? Paint type ?
Primer type ?

Me and my dad painted my '63 in our back yard. We used Centari paint and Western primer(genaric I think) We first invested in a Binks spray gun. It came out quite good for our first time! My Bug needs to be color sanded but that's a lot of work! I did the top and the hood. If you want a perfect paint job; ie all shiny, no runs and no tiny bugs under the paint you'd better pay the $$$ If you want to stop the rust on you daily driver and your neighbors won't call the EPA on you, give it a try! (I live in the country so there weren't any neighbors to complain!) 8)
