Jake,
I just watched the conversion video and it was great. I have a 68 tranny I just got rebuilt and wanted to know if you had to have the 71 throw out bearing sleeve and cross shaft. If so why and how hard is it to modify my tranny. Can I do it while the tranny is in the car? Does this mod require me to use a newer type pressure plate and throw out bearing?
Yes, I have the parts. Its easy to do just like changing any cross shaft. It allows and necessitates the use of the later release bearing and etc- thats why you do it.
Do you also need the sleeve that goes over the input shaft? It looked like that is bolted to the tranny housing with three bolts. My 69 tranny does not have those bolt holes.
