One step closer. I hope to hear it run before Christmas. That would make for a great Christmas.

Trying to save enough for a Kennedy clutch and pressure plate. Have to finish the wiring and the fuel lines and the radiator. If I didn't have to put the Christmas lights on the house and go shopping and go to work it wouldn't take long.
I hope to be able to fire the engine by Christmas.

What is involved in the subaru engine setup? Is it a custom adapter or someting purchased? I just seen a 911 trans a bit ago for sale.... ideas...

Not yet. Too many Christmas things got in the way. My friend who is working on the wiring was a little busy. The story of my life, nothing happens when I want it too. I do have the radiator mounted and am working on the water lines. Should have photos later today.

hello,
So what are the new trailing arms from? did you just slide them onto the torsion bars or is the stock torsion suspension gone?
Looks like it'll be badass! I have a 3000lb car making 230hp that hauls, so that kind of power in a 1500lb-ish car will be just amazing i'm sure.
Good luck with it.
Cheers,

The arms are from a 1986 Porsche 944. They will fit the bug torsion bars. Yes, the torsion bars are gone from mine. Went to a coilover suspension when the engine and trans was moved forward.

I have all that info at my office. Will post it on Monday. I left it at the office since my wife thinks a friend gave them to me. She doesn't agree with the bug or any money spent on it. So, I had them shipped to a friends house and he gave them to me.

Shocks came from Speedway Motors @ 1-800-736-3733. They are Carrera shocks and cost $135.00 each. They had me call Carrera for information on spring rates.
