3.75" Chop Top 71 Bug

Ok well I don't know where to post this, there used to be a forum for radical VW's and chop tops and such.. but can't find it anymore. I ordered the back issues of the mags HotVW's that did the chop top on the slide rag, well my car's a hard top. Already cut the A and B Pillars, removed the same amount of material from all the pillars like they did in the mag. *doing this step by step* Does anyone know what the height is from the top of the door frame *bottom of the window* to the section of the B pillar where the back glass is at? from the bottom of the window to where we now have the angle iron clamped to, we have a height of 13.25" and was wondering if this should be about right. If anyone can help it'd be greatly appreciated.

Also different model years has different stock window heights. What year are you talking about? But if it was me, I wouldn't worry about that measurement, I'd cut the door frame to fit the new chop job instead of cutting it per window height, that way the top of the door frame will fit as good as you can to the new lines of the top.
