I am going to be resto-ing my 58 bug. I need to replace the front clip (gas tank fwd) I want to make sure I get the alignment right but the one on my car right now is a little bent up so I dont trust taking measurements off that one any ideas on how to go about it?
Is your plan to salvage what you need from a donor? If so, take as much as you can. If you're ordering a replacement, wait till it arrives. Then you'll have the old and the new in front of you before you start. This will help you judge what/where to cut.
