Hi,
I have been having troubles with my windows and now the are really starting to 'bug' me!
The passenger side window will not wind up unless you hold the window foward and use large amounts of foce on the winder,The window keeps waning lean the top of the window towards the back.
and the front window winds up fine then about 2 inches befoe it makes the top(fully wound up) the windows just makes a clicking noice and the window stays at it's almost up postion.
Does anyone have any idea of what is wrong with my window as i would really like to fix them
thanks
Daniel

Take it apart you will see whats wrong with it. Use your good side as Reference. Lots of books with the break down as well.
Sounds like mine used to be do you have one piece windows??

Bet you 5 bucks he doesn't....

The click click click is most likley a worn or chipped drive gear (on your handle shaft business end) or a chipped tooth on your regulator arm. As far as the tilt goes, when raising the glass, I would say worn sliders on the regulator @ window channel and or (if equipped ) a incorrect angle on your secondary arm (note I do not know exactly what set up you have) Also check the glass run (u- shaped channel, glass slides in ) at each end to be sure that it is snug to the glass when in the down position. Hope this helps.......and let me know where to send the money if needed.......

....... Oh hey when it clicks, try to lift the window and turn the crank, if it catches and lifts your window more, then it is your reg. .........use caution when working around the reg. and glass The weight of the glass falling and reg. spring tension has claimed more than a few fingers..Be safe think twice....

Although you don't have one piece windows, if you wind up having to replace the regulator/lift unit go find some with the double lift instead of the single. I don't know the year range except that '62 definitely had it (got mine from one). Anyway, they will bolt right in and while you have it out you can lube the sh%t out of that long drive cable and it will work like new.
