If you know anyplace that sells Scat products, Scat has a kit of aluminum pipe plugs for the engine case. Aluminum plugs are prefered over brass or steel due to the different expansion rates.

I just bought some. Blue anodised aluminum as pictured. Only I used 5 1/8" NPT as the local store couldn't get stock on the 1/16NPT ones. Any decent parts store that deals with Earls, Aeroquip, or Goodridge should be able to get them. Here's some links;

Summit Racing also has the aluminum plugs:

They have all four sizes.

As mentioned here and in my article,
http://www.summitracing.com is one place you can find the plugs online. Any local "high performance" shop that carries fittings should have them also. The 1/16" NPT tap is the hardest to find, but its the proper size to use. You can order them online from
http://www.mcmaster.com/ or
