What radiators are you guys using?

Im gonna go to the JY pretty soon and I wanna get an idea of what radiators can be fit into the front of a bug/ghia. Oh and how are you guys cooling the radiators. Fan? Ducts? Thanks

I used a Rabbit Diesel radiator, fan, and fan shroud. All stock VW parts

Used a 1979 Mazda RX7 Auto Tranny radiator. 3 row and fits in the
spare tire well of my Super.
Two junkyard pusher fans($20 each).
Cools fine- 180-200 depending on how hot the day and how fast I'm going.

Do you thinks thats enough cooling to cool a turbo ford 2.3L.

Maybe- if I were you I'd go to a junkyard and check out a Turbo T-bird
or similar car. See how big and thick the stock radiator is.
Cooling a rotary is said to be harder than a piston engine,so this radiator
might be ok for your 2.3 .
There's a fellow on here=Blind Chicken Racing ?-that uses a Turbo 2.3 in
his baja.
Check some former posts ,he's got a website. See what he's using for
a radiator.

Yeah I know of him, he is the one that got me into turbo 2.3. His setup is alittle easier though cause he has a baja and can put the radiator just about anywhere.

I'm using a custom, 3 row core radiator that has tapered headers on the side to get the most surface area.
I fitted a 16 inch 2340 CFM electric fan to it and I am busy making an airdam with duct that will really force air through the radiator.
The duct is about 2 feet wide and 8 inches high so there is going to be a gale force wind howling through it which will keep the 3000 cc V6 in the back nice and cool.
I'll post some pics once I get it finished (which will be a while).

Man ! I was going to measure mine last and I forgot . Dammit .......
If I remember my radiator is about 24 inches wide and about 13 inches
high.

Drove it most of last summer. Now its getting ready for some paint.
Just primer for now . At least it will be all one color.

81/82 Mazda RX-7 radiator. its a 3 core radiator and fits in the spare tire well perfectly, and cools well enough for it to be my daily driver.
Using a scoop under my apron to get the air in, 2 junkyard airconditioner fans to push the air through. Check out my websit for a few pictures.
