Ok, I'm wanting to build a 2017cc dp for my '63 beetle that I use for a daily driver (when is running right). Here is what I would like to use:
C/w 78.4mm crank,not sure of the brand
Cam:something like a engle W-110. Should I use straight cut cam gears or not?
P/C's: 90.5mm "B" type
Heads: Not quite sure yet but I thinks I want 40x35mm w/stainless steel valves and a p&p job.
Carbs: somewhere in the neighborhood of the Weber 40mm IDF's
Ignition: NO CLUE ON WHAT TO USE!!!
What do ya'll think?
Thanks,
J.W.

Oh, I forgot a couple of things.
The exhaust will be a Kymco header with their perfomance heater boxes and a dynomax fatboy muffler
C/r: set at around 8.0?

Car runs great from idle to 6500 or so. The 110 had lots of torque but not enough top end.
Hey, Bob 63 does the engle 120 still have quite a bit of torque?
Thanks,

I think you will be happy with it,I am especially with the rockers. I also sent my lifters to Steve at SLR cams to be surfaced. Only cost me $21.50 with shipping.
