Very interesting, Jean. I'm particularly interested in the side treatment.

To be a real lifesized kit, you would have to do some more work on the roof and windshield design. I can't picture how it would be feasible in safety glass. If that matters.

Hi...

this model, is a model only to make a wind tunnel test...

the car that i want to build is more simple, like this
http://shoptalkforums.com/bbs/NonCGI/Fo ... 00134.html

but for now, i have to worry about the final exams

about the side treatment, or better about all the treatment of the model...

i used floor mate (an insulation for floor and roof of the houses)

i use a plywood for the forms,
with a power supply and with a structure with a wire i cut the forms of the car

this parts are glued with white glue (wood glue) and with bolts, to secure all in place. after the glue is dry, the bolts are removed...

all the holes are tapped with plaster(the wall stucco)

after that the car are sand.

after all the surface are filled with plaster, i use epoxy resin (the only that don't detroy the floor mate, the polyester resin "eat" all the floor mate) and a thin mant of fiberglass tissue.

after all the resin is cured, i start the normal process of a body car preparation, with normal bondo to filler and primary and paint.

i don't know about my english, but i try to explain all the fases
