Clogged Idle Jets-Dells

First trip ever in my new(used) rail to Glamis over TG weekend. I must have cleaned the driver side idle jets 4 times and they continued to clog every ride out. Dual 40 Dells, 2275 Type 1 rail. I'm going to clean the tank, change the lines and put an extra filter between the fuel pump and carb. CB perf. has a couple of mods for the Dells to help the problem.
Has anyone tried these mods?
Are clogged Idle Jets a common problem for Dells?
Thanks,
Fatman

I run dual 48's and only once in 4 years have had plugged jets. Make sure your lines are clean and change fuel filter every year at least. Make sure your air filters are doing their job also.

The reason I think its a fuel problem is that it happened to the same side every time. The fuel line comes out of the pump into the problematic carb then out of the banjo into the other carb.
Has anyone tried the kits CB performance offers for the Dells?
1. Horizontal Discharge Tube conversion or
2. Dr. Jet
They both mention eliminating Clogged Idle jets associated with Dells

The Filters used on FI cars will filter better, but it's wise to put a second filter in line 1st to get the large stuff. Vic.

I use to have this problem until I invested in some outerwares along with pantyhose underneath.
Also make sure to grease the top and bottom of the air filter.
If the vehicle hasnt been used often, you might have some build up in your carb...maybe a good time to rebuild.

If the jets are cloged the dirt is in the gas and not coming in with the air. But do make sure you have good air filters. Vic.

Thanks for the comments. My fuel filter was filthy. I'm going to proceed with cleaning the tank replacing the lines, at least up to the first carb, and use a higher quality fuel filter. I follow all of the air filter recommendations except for the Panty Hose. I haven't heard that one before, but it doesn't sound like a bad idea.
