rocker nut striped

so i went to adjust my valves and one of the nuts that holds on the #4 rocker arm. was stripped off it only ran like this for about 10 minutes at idle. what kind of problems could this cause. the engine is a 1700cc type 4 motor in a 73 bus

No problems probably. Be sure to use locktite to hold those nuts on........This problem used to happen to me about once a year, but when I started to use green locktite on the threads they never came off again.

ahhh, a sigh of relief. thats what i wanted to hear. after i posted the original message i went and bought all new nuts and put it all back together it ran better than it ever has.
