I'm new to the world of VW buses. I recently purchased a BUS last week. I have a problem with the smell of exhaust fumes in the cabin. I was wondering since I don't need a heater can I just disconnect the heater tubing? or is there a a simpler way to fix the problem?
Thanks

first i would pull the tubes and make sure the flaps are closing correctly, then you can pull the tubes if it still smells, check your rear window seal though, because the airflow really swirls behind a bus and can get into the back end that way

Hiya Mmax,
Double ditto to Rich's advice. Don't assume that the CO is coming from any one particular point. Check it out. Get youself a CO monitor and find out just where it is entering the cabin. As Rich points out the rear seals around the window and cargo door are often culprits. Check 'em out before you disconnect any hoses.
And one last piece of advice - don't go driving this thing around until you FIX the problem. If you drive it you will be a danger both to yourself and others.
