bus parts

Post by 69ghia »

I may be getting a 65 Bus, it needs rear fender sections put on and some of the area around the front windshields is rusted pretty bad. Can someone tell me what the estimated cost of repairing the rear sections may be and if there is an easy way to repair the windshield sections. Or am I getting in over my head? The rest is fairly rust free so that is a good thing.

I am getting the Bus for nothing and just have to trailer it from Calif to Idaho. Anyone going that way with a trailer??

More questions to follow I'm sure

Thanks for any help, Kerwin

if those are rusty, expect other areas to be rusty also.
front wheel arches, underneath the cargo area, and other assorted places (kinda like my 67 westy)

rear fender areas are available as well as front clips. i'm planning on doing 95% of the body work, otherwise the cost will kill me to have it done.
my 67 is rusty, but i can learn!

paying for body work is for the guys with more money than i, but i have that "can learn" attitude. mine will be no show car, but i will be able to drive it, and it will look nice.

just my 2 cents worth
