If you are talking about the vent windows on the front doors, just drill the pop-rivet on the top hinge, open the window as far as it can go and pull it up vertically. Simple as that. To install, use a new stainless steel pop-rivet to prevent rust.

Removing vent windows

I haven't gotten around to removing mine yet but I plan to soon. I'm replacing mine with a solid window in back and crank out windows from a camper in the middle windows and just completely doing away with the vents. I've been told that all you have to do is remove soild piece of glass from behind the vent and the vent will tilt towards the back at the top and pull right out . . . there may be a screw or two that you have to remove first, but you'll be able to see what to do if you remove the solid glass. Again, I haven't done this myself, this is just what I've been told. As soon as I can get the seals I need, I'll find out for sure.

I bought a refurb from bustedbus.com and got my mechanic to supply the new rubber, sweat, and frustration. It was the vent just behind the louvres on the drivers side. It looks great. If you have the bread, have a body guy do it. Wish I had more to offer...

It just so happends that I remived mine yesterday. Anyhow you rove them just like any vw window. I started in the corner (top left for driver side side) pushing out with a fair amount of force after you get the corner undone it should just come out frame and all. If you can have someone on the outside to make sure the window doesn't go flying. There is no rivits or anything just a seal and the frame. If yours were like mine your going to have a nasty rust spot under that seal. By the way. there was no sweat or frustration. it took me all of about 2 minutes by myself
