59 single cab--T4 (full) conversion

I am looking evilly at buying a sad looking but structuarally sound 59 single cab with the same thoughts...

I have a spare 091 trans, a 914 that needs extensive rust repairs in the usual places so it will be down for awhile anyway (runs awesome
otherwise)and a spare 73 model bus that is a shed, but the brakes/suspension/trans are all good.

Will the `73 front end swap in, or do I need a 68 ish front beam? Are the issues surmountable? I am not going for a restoration, just a very
reliable daily driver.

The fact it is a real pickup also helps greatly as my wife continues to think of my 914 as having unlimited carrying capacity...

Is there room for a full T4 motor/cooling in the 59 engine bay if I can make a new rear apron? (motor length, still thinking about buying the
59, so it's not available for measurements easily)

I would prefer the full T4 fan/cooling setup to an upright conversion for cooling, cost and time, altho it may get one of Jakes Carbon 914
"tin sets" if they go into production.

I just did a upright conversion, so I know how it is done, and may do it again if I make fiberglass molds off the tin I just made for my sons
71 SB/2.0l T4.

Does anyone need a 59 front beam?
Good 59 trans?

Yes I have a MIG welder.

Any thoughts?
