Help! Ignition switch

Hi I own a 71 super, nothing fancy but love to drive it.The ingnition switch started smoking I found the wire which melted,it was black i replaced the wire, engine turns but does not start. Do I need to replce the entire ignition switch? If so would any one happen to know where I could purchase the switch? ALSO IN MY HAST OF PULLING WIRE FROM FUSE BOX THAT DAY, I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IT IF SOMEONE COULD TELL ME WHERE EACH WIRE FROM SWITCH GOES. EXAMPLE BRWN TO GROUND...
