I will have to think about this one. Since it is not a VW, but it is close.

I think the 914 is very well taken care of at Pelican Parts site. I think we are straying a bit by adding a 914 forum. I have seen the PP 914 people show up on the Type Forum and this should be sufficient.

I believe we are starting to spread all the information out between too many places. We have 3 forums dedicated to T1 based cars (Ghia, S/B and bug), a t4 engine, T4 car, T4 bus (plus the early splits), just too many and too much dilution.

I own a T3 and a bug, I haven't looked at the S/B forum in weeks and I know I'm missing a wealth of stuff that would apply to my sis's S/B vert.

I say let's not venture into the Porsche territory. Just my two cents

I have inquires from pelican parts postee who ask me for alternate sites to find info on the Type4 engine. I send them to Shop Talk. I do not reffer to a 914 as a porsche. When people ask me about my car I tell them its a Nine One Four made by Volkswagen-Audi.I have cars that are titled both VW and also Porsche. These are a Orphan make The Porsche guys think your a poser, the VW guys think your a wantabe,All I know is I own 914 and they are getting rarer every day.Steve
