Hi guys ,I’ve just joined to hopefully pic up some helpful information to keep my newly acquired bus motor running smoothly.
I’ve got a 1641 type 1 with a JB200 cam .,Webber DCOE40 carb. I’m going to get it on a rolling road for a run in tune early next month but in the mean time I wondered if anyone on here who knows these setups could advise on the a good choice of spark plug . I assume they probably need a cooler running plug , but wasn’t sure which ones most people run . I’ve had plenty of twin carb type1 motors but never with a charger so this is new ground for me .

You'll have better luck with the AMR500 Superchargers group on Facebook with these questions. Here is a link... https://www.facebook.com/groups/1934376793543495/

When I was running mine I had to cross reference. I'm wanting to say I used to have autolite 425's, went with a 424 then crossed that number over to ngk. You should really read the plug though and see how it's actually running to see if it's too hot or not and I kept my gap around .030
