Long time lurker finally has something to post

Offroad VW based vehicles have problems/insights all their own. Not to mention the knowledge gained in VW durability.

Long time lurker finally has something to post

Post by SignalMan13 »

Hey everyone! I've been lurking here for a long time, ever since working for Leatherneck at his cabinet shop and assisting him with his rail project. Now I've finally got something of my own to post!

It's not pretty, and it's not going to be finished for a while, but it's here!ImageImageImage

Good to see a "rail" being rebuilt. Buggies and rails have become passé now that the "commercial off-road" are easily (and very expensive) available.

I think I have seen that or a similar "kit" before but not for a long time. It looks like a good start and should be fairly easy to finish to what you want to play with and play in.

Where will you be using it as that has a lot to do with how you finish "adapting it".

Looks like fun so enjoy the rebuild.

Lee

The front tires look like some of the older three rib "Baldies" used on soft soils but not as big in diameter.

Good start.
