Does my 65 beetle have two cables for the hand brake?
My brake doesn't work(think cable broke) so I want to replace and was just wondering if I need to order one or two??

There should be 1 cable to each rear wheel. easy fix.

You asked about the voltage regulator? If it is a 1965 it is 6 volts unless someone changed it to 12 volts. Before you change the regulator get the generator serviced at an automotive electrical shop. There are many things that can be done to improve the generator's charging ability. Changing the regulator will not help if the generator needs to be serviced; commutator undercutting, new brushes, etc. The same things need to be done if it is a 12 volt generator. Alternators don't need commutator undercutting because they don't have a commutator.
