Anyone have SDS EFI on an ACVW?

Post by blue72beetle »

I'm looking into doing EFI for my 1776 again.... And SDS has caught my eye for it's price and simplicity. However it looks like it doesn't have a laptop setup, and you adjust it by adding or subtracting fuel trim while driving. I don't like that, I feel like I wouldn't know what to do once I have it all installed.

I may just go with Mario... I already have all the Mexi EFI parts...

Me too. I'll raise a few hackles here, but I struggled with MS for a few years and finally went with SDS this past spring. Even with Mario's basic tune I was able to get my bus running ballpark (hand grenades) close to idling and it ran really rough.

SDS is waaaaaaaayyyy easier to tune than MS could ever be. I got my bus running smoothly within 2 days and didn't have to spend hours and hours and hours and hours and hours guessing and guessing and guessing and playing and playing with three moving targets to try to get my engine running right.
