Hello all,
have 1915 with Bosch blue coil, 009 with points. Was told that if I replace points with a Pertronix module and leave the ignition on it will burn the module quick. Is that correct? should I replace the whole distributor with a New Pertronix distributor? Trying to get more spark as my spark plugs quickly develop a lot of carbon.
Thanks!
Jose

Re: confused on ignition!
It is true.
In the past 20+ yrs I've had the Pertronix, I've never had the need to leave the ignition on without the engine running.
If you buy the Pertronix II, you can leave the ignition on as long as you want, it won't hurt anything.
