I am planning on doing the floor pans on my beetle and was wondering who makes the best replacement parts for this?

I haven't bought any in years but CIP1 claims that the Brazilian Estriguaru brand are the best available. They're thicker (1.1mm) and heavier than most, at least.
Shipping on full pan halves can get spendy (aircooled.net uses Greyhound, which gets them to the closest terminal but not to your door) so factor that in.

Marc's reply is confusing to me as I have the highest esteem for his knowledge. I bought a set of the black painted pan halves known as Brazilian pans. I thought they were very light weight so I took them off and ordered the orange ones (I forget the Mfg's name) which were definitely thicker but not as thick as OEM. I was also able to get them w/o seat mounts due to good timing.

I'll let you in on an inside secret.
Recently, I ordered full Klokkerholm pans through JEGS with free shipping. Yes, JEGS. Yes, FREE SHIPPING. Turns out they are a Klokkerholm reseller. Go to the Klokkerholm USA website --
http://www.klokkerholmusa.com/volkswagen/ and choose your pans and part numbers. They offer both standard and heavy-duty pans, and full and half-pan options. Then go to Jeg's website --
http://www.jegs.com and order them. They drop-ship directly from Klokkerholm USA within 2-3 days.
I ordered the heavy-duty pans (and a bunch of other Beetle sheet metal) for my son's '65 Beetle and the quality and fitment was very good. Usually, I try to support the local or online VW retailers, but it's hard to pass up free shipping.
