Hello,
Looking through many posts and so many throttle body placements/positions what are people using as a cable setup?
How are the cables being adapted to cable to a T1 pedal cluster? I'm talking single throttle bodies only. Some photos show cables not coming through the cooling shroud, but around the 1&2 side of the engine.
Thanks,
Mark

Re: Throttle cables being used?
I have a single throttle body from a BMW R1200 motorcycle. The cable I am using is a long universal cable (inner and outer) from Car Builder solutions. On my particular installation I routed the cable to the N/S of the fan housing then used a 90 degree cable bend (a Dellorto motorcycle part) from Eurocarb. It has a built in cable adjuster. They are available with various bend angles.

Re: Throttle cables being used?
I just made sure I lined my current throttle body up with the existing throttle cable hole in the shroud, and built my manifold to fit.
As far as the actual throttle cable, my type 1 cable was a little short, so I just got a spare out of my Westy and cut it to length. The Bus throttle cables are way longer, and have the same petal connection as the beetle cable, so its working well so far.

Look good!! I like it. Thanks for some new ideas. I'm not a motorcycle guy so the information will be very useful.
That's for the response
Thanks,

You can also buy kits or all the individual parts you need to make up your own cables from Venhill (also motorcycling based).
