Thinking of cruising up there some time and see what my car is capable of. I am just a few hours from there

These are great events -- at the World of Speed in September is when all the VW's go for the 36 horse and big block challenges

I live in pleasant grove and have raced at RMR since i could legally drive,about a decade now. Msvwra will be here once a year, but there is plenty going on at other times. Midnight Drags are great events with 6-8K people in the stands.
I haven't run on the track for a year or so since I work evenings. The facility is one of the nice ones in the area, nice track, good staff for the most part.

Cool sounds like fun, I am staying just outside of elko nevada so I was thinking of cruising that way sometime this summer and see what kind of numbers I can put town

A special Bonneville 2 1/2 day test & tune will be held July 11th through the 13th. Entries "CLOSE this THURSDAY" ! ! ! Originally planned as a full competition car event only, a limited number of 130 MPH Club cars will be allowed to enter. To date three 130 MPH Club cars are racing including Wayne Atkinson in his wife Jan's yellow Volkswagen Super Beetle. This time however, he will be running a Blackline dynoed 2332cc Big Block and going for 130 Club membership (Factoid - Did you know Wayne was one of the eight founding members of the USFRA and 130 Mile Per Hour Club way back in the seventies?).
