Tuner Studio and EFI Analytics Bluetooth
I have looked around and don't seem to find any topic on the EFI Analytics Bluetooth adapter to Tuner Studio setup. Is this supported or am I barking up the wrong tree? I have tried to connect the sotwre but its not seeing that the laptop and the MS3 with Bluetooth are paired.
Thanks for any info,
Daniel Du Vall

Re: Tuner Studio and EFI Analytics Bluetooth
i never ran tunerstudio with it or my laptop, but I did use that adaptor with my ms3 and my Android phone and the MSDroid app. It worked great. I never got too into it though, since Tunerstudio is much more feature rich than the app. Have you contacted Phil on the MS forums? I bet he could solve your problem nice and fast.

There is a tunerstudio forum there. Post questions there for quickest results.

Re: Tuner Studio and EFI Analytics Bluetooth
It works fine with BT serial adapters, they just show up as an additional serial port in the OS, under Linux it comes up as /dev/rfcomm0 or such. You select them in TS just like another serial port.
You have to configure them in the OS first, which is usually pretty trivial unless you run KDE.
(The new KDE BT utilities seem blissfully oblivious as to what to do with rfcomm, almost as useless as a mac)
expect a far slower connection than via a good USB adapter, 10-15 pages per second.
Make a mental note NOT to read the instructions at the B&G Megasquirt site if you plan to use ms2-extra...
ms2-extra has many more features, and it sometimes uses the hardware differently.
Following the instructions on megasquirt.info and msextra.com will lead to a lot of confusion, at best.
(You probably want to use ms2-extra, also the home of MS3 and ongoing development)

Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.
