hubcaps

Post by djvw1969 »

I was a VW parts guy from 1973 to 1987. Around about 1976 to 1977 VW made a very inexpensive standard Beetle that had plastic center caps made for the stock steel wheel. I'd like to find out the part number for these caps. Thanks :)

I have not seen them for sale in a while, I sanded off the logo on a set an have been running them for years.
I remember them being OEM from mexico and CB was offering them, but I don't see it on the website.
CIP also doesn't have a current listing: http://www2.cip1.com/ProductDetails.asp ... 13-698-173

Yeah some may call it overkill, but you can't have too much overkill.

yes thats what i was talking about. airhead auto has a cap that has a number thats 111 601 151 that they said fit a sports wheel. i'd figure that would be a number that started with 135 601 ---

The sports wheels are not the same center hole as the stock 4-lug.

This will not work http://www.airheadparts.com/vintage-vw- ... -111601171 unless you are running sports wheels (duh), some WCVW stock wheels, or at least one AUDI badged car. If anyone can point me to three or more "AUDI OOOO logo'ed" sports wheel caps I would greatly appreciate that.
