WUE and ASE
I cannot seem to get my WUE and ASE to make a bit of difference. Engine idles like crap for a while till the engine is warmed up. can anyone share their settings with me? I have a 2276 turbo running MS2 extra 3.2.4. I've tried increasing and decreasing the stock values but it seems to make no change. once the engine is warm it idles beautifully. I have my temp sensor in the oil sump so it is slow to respond. wondering if that is part of the problem.

Do you have an IAC?

Re: WUE and ASE
yeah, I have a GM stepper IAC. that might be useful information.
the stepper is working. when you start it hot the engine revs up then settles down in the set amount of time. I think I have it at 8 sec right now. when cold, it is running so rough it doesn't rev up unless I give it some throttle.

Re: WUE and ASE
Other than my running E85, we have very similar set-ups it appears. I will try to download my MSQ tonight and sent it to you.
Where is your CLT sensor located? Mine is in the oil line to the external filter and cooler, so my WUE stays on a little longer than most.

Thanks, it will be interesting to see what your setting are. I would be running E85 but the nearest pump is 45min away.

I think you have to zip it to upload it.

Re: WUE and ASE
I get that you're saying it idles poorly when cold, but do the AFRs change when you adjust the ASE or WUE? What is wrong with the idle? Sound like it's missing? AFRs out of whack? Idle RPM not high enough?

Re: WUE and ASE
thanks devastator. I reduced my ASE taper by a lot based on what you had and it is better. finally made a difference. my cold idle AFR's are around 11.5 so I've got to pull more fuel out. before it was missing so my AFR was bouncing all over the place and I couldn't make heads or tails of it. now it just seems to be pig rich so next time it's cold i'll try less fuel.

Are you using the latest TunerStudio?
Give the Warmup Wizard a go. It will knock your WUE into shape.

TS says I have the latest version, but I have no idea what or where the warm up wizard is. I see the acceleration wizard, but have never used it.

Re: WUE and ASE
never found the warmup wizard. ms3 maybe? I have MS2extra. anywho, I set my WUE to 100% and it is much better. does that make sense? isn't 100% nothing?

Re: WUE and ASE
100% uses unmodified pulse width. 0% would cut all fuel.

Re: WUE and ASE
thanks, guess I didn't look hard enough. I'll give it a try tonight after the car cools down.
