I have a brand new irs KCR Type1 gearbox, which was set up for my NA 1600 (160hp) engine.

Plans have changed, and I want to build a new turbo engine for my street/trackdays beetle.

Will the ratio and strength match the new engine??
Or should I just sell the gbox, and buy a new 091..

Gearbox:

KCR strip gbox, every upgrade available..
Weddle racing r/p 3.88
Weddle racing gears 1-4th a 4.11 1st, a 2.46 2nd, a 1.65 3rd and 1.22 4th
For now, Erco superdiff.. Will change to finnish lsd..

New engine:

1915 Oxy
8000 max rpm
crankshaft hp: 400hp street, 500hp trackdays E85
Black magic thin, stage2 KEP

Tires: 16", 50 profile Toyo R888

400hp is way too much for type 1 box, weddle trans gears probably can handle it, but r+p and casing cannot. Yeah i would also recommend 091 with littlebit longer ratios, since turbos like longer ratios, engine will then more under boost.

Bus box with these ratios maybe 4.57 r+p 3.44-1.93-1.26-0.93
