kpaix kpa

[STOICH]

kpaix kpa - some body splain this to me. Kpa according to google is kilopascals per square inch, which I can convert to make english out of. Google doesn't know what kpaix is, and neither do I. Why is it important to megasquirt, or myself?

I got a cool conversion app on my phone.

14.7psi (atmospehere) equals 100KPa
8.7psi equals 60 KPa (my idle vac)
5 psi equals 35KPa (max vac when i'm decelerating and engine braking)

now the same stuff but in inHg
30inHg equals 100KPa (atmosphere)
18inHg equals 60KPa
10inHg is 35KPa

I hope that helps visualizing everything, I like KPa better then inHg or psi but I have used them before too.

that helps make sense out of what I am looking at for sure, so far I have been kinda letting VE Live do its thing, but I'd like to better understand what it is that it is doing also. Yep, a good way to visualize it is the 100kpa line all the way across is WOT for an N/A engine. Anything higher than 100 would be boost pressure, anything below manifold vacuum. 14lbs per 100kpa, 7lbs every 50kpa. I fart in your general direction!

Actually 100 kilopascals (kPa) is 14.503 psi or 1 "bar"...

If you need measurement, volume, pressure, decimal/metric and lots of other conversions...
