What Is a Good Wheel Bearing Grease To Use?

I want to repack my front wheel bearings.

I have been using Valvoline DuraBlend® Synthetic Blend Grease
with good results. But, when it gets old it kind of cakes up in places.

A long time ago, late ’70s to late ’80s, I used to use Penzoil 707L red grease for the rear wheel bearings in my ‘74 Honda Civic. I was thinking of using PZ 707L in my ‘73 Beetle’s front wheel bearings.

So what wheel bearing grease do you recommend?

TIA!

I use Valvoline Multi-Purpose, NLGI #2 Lithium Complex EP grease. 0 deg F to 375 deg F.

In order to standardize a grease for long trips, I use this grease everywhere. From wheel bearings to CV joints to ball-joints with what I feel is satisfactory results.
