It will be a beast! I imagine it will rev past 6500 with power and be a blast to drive. If I read right you have single springs? I would think duals would be necessary, but with the light lifters and aluminum pushrods; I'd like to know how it works. I've heard of aluminum retainers pulling through, so maybe keep an eye on them. 160 hp?

thank you for the reaction
yes indeed i changed them to single springs. a friend of mine makes these alu retainers out of high grade aircraft alu. he had them on his 2.0 t4 with 154hp with single springs, and same pushrods and lifters without valve float, he told me to check wear every time i checked the valve lash (10.000km)
i am hoping at 150hp, i hope it will be a blast to drive as a daily...
even hoping to keep up with 2 friends (nissan 350z & tvr) we'll see
kind regards, Toon

They are pretty indeed, but time will tell. If your heads are already cut for duals, you'd be better off IMO with a light set than with any single. Springs have harmonic points where they lose effective tension, with dual springs they're at different frequencies so the inners can take up the slack for the outers and vise-versa, so you can typically get away with a lighter seat pressure with duals. I'd advise something like a cheap set of Bugpack duals with steel retainers (stock would work, Berg CrMo, even better)...set up at stock height they're good for at least 7200 RPM, and I've never seen a steel retainer pull through. IMO aluminum retainers should only be used on a drag-only motor that sees regular maintenance.
You may get away with these, but I do reserve the right to say "I told you so"

ok, so today i installed the engine into my '67 restored rat,
after the engine is tuned, it is going into my daily 1303S "sleeper look" ( fk springs, kerscher ventilated discs, cubstrebe, original wheels widened 2" to the inside to 6.5" & 7.5")
only need to clean up the wiring a bit, and install a decent breather
will be starting my engine during the week
kind regards, Toon

got the results from the dyno yesterday, and i am verry happy with the result:
in streettrim: 162hp, and 170-190nm
in race trim without belt and muffler: 180hp and peak 220nm
without belt and with muffler: 172hp
