Has anyone done one (of course they have!)
Has anyone here done one?
I was thinking that the best way of keeping dual fuel is to relocate the petrol tank to between the chassis rails under the van and relocate the heater pipe. This would clear the space the tank is for the gas bottle as it looks from pictures to be a better shape for a torpedo shaped tank.
Anyone have any opinions or measurements for the hole the tank sits in?

Re: LPG conversion
Hi, been toying with doing this myself and know of a few beetles on here that have it done inc. one race car!
Take a look at the tanks, they have them to take the space of the spare in eatates etc. that have the spare under the floor, I was thinking of putting one of these upright in the recess in the rear where the wheel goes (73 camper with spare on the front).

Re: LPG conversion
not a bad idea, but capacity will be an issue, not a lot of room. I would look between the frame rails and some sort of cage to protect it from debris. that said I have always wanted to do this conversion myself. never can get a straight answer on the details, but man do vw engines love to run on propane.
give a man a watch and he'll allways know what time it is. give him two and he can never be sure again.
