August Off Roader of the Month

This month's OROTM is still an STF pup but I'll tell you what... He sure has jumped in with both feet and hit the ground running. There is no doubt that there has been many hours put into this project already with a boat load more still to go. I for one can't wait to see this one done... I just hope I finish mine first so I don't have to start again and "borrow" some more way cool ideas
.
I think his first sentence on his first post pretty much sums it up, at least it does for me
.

And an old one of his own...

And another... See what I mean...

And now on the the current project..
Roof removal... I've never seen it done like this before

Adding Length and width to the body...
4inches out of the windshield and dash

8+ inches out of the rear quarter

Now the part I thought was amazing. If you don't have a "vert windshield frame... make one

Go get a drop cloth and cover your key board before you gaze at this pile of bling...

Our first pics of the frame...

Some one off door hinge supports...

And a pic of the front end work...

Thank you Daron for sharing your project with us. This ride will be one unbelievable car when you get it done

Looking back through his thread I don't think he had a chance. There is a lot of history with VW's and his family. Here is just a couple of examples...CentralWAbaja wrote:Hi my name is Daron and I am a Baja Bug-o-holic…
There I said it!
I admit it!
Will I start to get better now? Gosh I hope not.
