I know this will be like finding a needle in a haystack but does anyone know the exact color of this GL? It's the perfect shade of metallic charcoal grey I've been looking for. Perhaps it's a factory color from a late model car or a custom color from one of the many paint supply companies like PPG,etc.
If I'm lucking someone reading the thread may know the owner!

It's hard to tell exact from an image, and still difficult IRL if you're not a painter and happen to have a color chart. OR if you happen to be the car owner...
But I can give you some codes you can have a look at and hopefully use to find the blend you're looking for. I have been working a lot with fairings for motorbikes, specially Ducati and on top of that my Ducati's were gray metallic. Darn it can be good looking. To get that extra deep shiny gray (it doesn't matter what color, most MC fairings are painted like this) you need to spray the car with a silver base, then the metallic layer, and two layers of clear coat with the first layer being tinted (blended) with a few percent of the metallic. (So, from the surface: primer/silver base/metallic/tinted clear/clear). You can skip the tinted layer and you'll loose some of that deep shine that almost makes the paint hoover, but don't skip the silver base.
PPG DUC0002 "Grigio Metallic 2ct"
PPG 10579 "Beige Gold" << Would be pretty close to what you're looking for.
PPG 231600/291600 "Grigio Ferro Metallic 2ct"
You can find them from a PPG color chart here.

I painted a beetle a color like that a few years ago. PPG (is the brand I used) Pewter Metallic. It's actually a GM color, from the corvette and full size pickups.

If that's the GM color I saw a couple years ago, it really looked good from that distance, but the closer you got, the more Bronze it got. Very disappointing...
I really like those colors though. It's just that the Corvette looked good from a distance. When I got closer, it turned almost solid Bronze. Might not even be the color though, hard to tell from that picture.

Hi
There's an Oval getting around down here that's painted in Polar Silver a factory Oval colour and it looks hot. This the only photo I could find at the moment.

That was featured in Volksworld a while back, I'll have a rummage and see what it says.

Does somebody know, what rear fenders are on the car posted in the top link?
They seem to appear sloaping steeper down. Or is it just the camera angle.
