i have started to convert waterboxer engine to oxy but some ????? have. leaving 76mm crank ,with w110 cam ,94mahle pistons flat top ,o44head 35.5 x 40 valves single hi rev springs ,stock rockers ,30mm shadeck oil pump ,31mm lifters,daul 40 weber idf my ???? is. is this combo good? and how much HP i will have note i have 3.88 tranny with zf LSD 18inch rims 7.5j

I would think it is a very good daily driver combo. Depending on the heads 120 hp and 120 ft lbs of torque would be my guess. Are you using a 1.5" exhaust? If the heads flow close to 200 cfm you could step up to a W120 cam with 1.25 rockers and dual valve springs and Weber 44s and pick up another 20 hp. If you want to keep it simple build your combo.

well thanks for info but here in lebanon we cant find in the end of the street vw performance supplier i should buy it from london my uncle will bring it to me (the big boys toys ) or a freind of mine who lives in california will buy it ,and send it to me (cb performance ) you will ask me why directly cant buy from the net a good Question they wont send any item to lebanon because were known as terorist (bad reputation)so me ive got 1960 mayers manx buggy in a very good condition 2years of restoration and 73beetle ive got 18" rims zf LSD 3.88 AT tranny ,its in restoration .weve got biggest engine is standard 1600cc single carb (lazy) so after buying almost every performance books and search in the net i come out converting waterboxer to aircooler 76x 94 i think that youre right what you said but becuase of parts availblity i thing ill get a big difference of hp on this combo.

what type of lifters are u planning to use with the W110 cam??

im going to use cb performance 1511 item number which is 31mmbig foot lifters i dont have now a good picture here in my comp. ill show u as soon as i can

Why not just use the CB version of the cam you want?

so u are installing bushings in the lifter bores then ??

yes iam using bushing in the liftter bore and re-placing the cylinder head bolt pattern from the case . what you got there ? do u got anything speciall? you can see my buggy in facebook search for (varoujan achkarian) or if anybody want to chat with me (farrouj69@hotmail) ...
