what grit of sand paper should i use before my paint bc/cc ive heard 400 and ive heard 600 they say 600 is to slick whats the best?

600 works for me. Plenty of little scratches for adhesion. Pics of project?

600 (800 for clears). Most paint companies can provide you with thier reccomendations.
